About the role
The City of Sydney has an exciting opportunity for a motivated person to join our friendly and professional Work Health and Safety Team that work across several areas to keep our employees safe, happy and healthy.
In this role, you’ll provide injury management, health and wellbeing, rehabilitation and return to work services to achieve optimal return to work outcomes for our employees in line with best practice principles and legislation, with a strong focus on psychosocial factors that may impact recovery and work participation.

We’re looking for someone with:
• tertiary qualifications and accreditation/registration in an allied health discipline (e.g. Rehabilitation Counselling, Psychology, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology or related)
• 2-3 years minimum experience in workplace rehabilitation and return to work case management in a worker’s compensation environment
• experience managing both psychological and physical injury claims, and the ability to apply a psychosocial approach to injury management
• strong interpersonal communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage sensitive and complex cases with professionalism and sound judgement.
