Topic: Protect Your Workers, Meet Your WHS Obligations: The SunSmart Workplaces Toolkit
In this session, we will focus on:
- Protecting your workers and meet your WHS obligations by creating a safer outdoor work environment.
Join Cancer Council NSW to learn why workplace sun safety is essential and how to reduce the risk of skin cancer among outdoor workers. During this interactive session, you will:
- Discover the newly launched SunSmart Workplaces Digital Toolkit. See a live demonstration of practical resources, templates and tools designed to help workplaces implement effective sun protection policies and practices.
- Reflect on your organisation's current approach to sun safety and identify opportunities for improvement using practical examples and resources.
- Skin cancer is one of Australia's most common cancers, yet it is largely preventable. This session will provide practical steps to help create safer and healthier workplaces.

Tara Ray and Emma Stephenson are part of Cancer Council NSW’s Skin Cancer Prevention team, leading initiatives that support workplaces, sporting organisations and community partners to improve sun safety and reduce the risk of skin cancer from harmful UV exposure. Their work focuses on translating evidence into practical, accessible programs and resources that help organisations protect people from harmful UV exposure. They are passionate about supporting sustainable behaviour change and creating safer outdoor environments across NSW.
