Changes are occurring to high risk work licences on 31 December 2012 and WorkCover NSW have released guidance for those working in their jurisdiction.
They advise that licences are required for activities such as:
•    operating forklifts
•    scaffolding
•    rigging
•    dogging
•    operating cranes, including tower, mobile, vehicle loading, bridge and gantry cranes
•    operating hoists, including personnel and materials hoists, elevated work platforms and concrete placing booms
•    operating pressure equipment such as boilers, turbines and steam engines

Some holders of NSW high risk work licences may have to review before 31 December 2012.
