The Safety Institute of Australia (QLD/NT Division) is very proud to announce the 19th Annual Occupational Health and Safety Conference to be held at The Sebel Hotel, Cairns from 14-16 September 2011, with a preceding welcome function for delegates on the evening of 13 September 2011.
The Visions Conference 2011 will be exploring a wide range of themes, including;
- National OHS Harmonisation
- Disaster Recovery
- Workforce Health & Wellbeing
- Managing health and safety in medium-sized business (up to 200 workers)
- Best practice in OHS consulting
- Health and Safety issues in the following industry sectors:
- Manufacturing
- Transport & Storage
- Construction
- Rural
- Health & Community Services
- Retail, Wholesale, Hospitality, Recreation and Other Services
The conference program and themes are designed to provide a variety of experiences for delegates. In particular, we aim to provide a stimulating mix of key note speakers, industry papers and presentations on contemporary OHS issues, interactive workshops and site visits.
We also recognise the importance of meeting and networking with other health and safety professionals during this time, and as such our successful Welcome Function (13 September) and Gala Dinner (14 September) have been scheduled as part of the Conference.
