Realising the Health Benefits of Work - Draft Position Statement

Dear SIA Members

This is just a friendly reminder that the deadline of 12 February 2010 for providing comment on the draft position statement; 'Realising the Health Benefits of Work' is approaching. We have been really encouraged by the interest and positive responses we have received so far.

The Faculty invites you to provide any further feedback you may have on the draft position statement.

Specifically, comments are welcome on:

1.  What you consider are the most positive aspects of the document;
2.  What you consider are the least positive aspects of the document; and
3.  What aspects of the document you recommend changing.
 
Please take this opportunity to send in your own comments by email, letter or fax. 

This draft position statement is also available on the Royal Australasian College of Physicians website http://www.racp.edu.au/ in the in the Occupational and Environmental section of the Policy and Advocacy section.

All submissions are due by Friday, 12 February 2010. Under special circumstances an extension of time for your submission may be provided. Please contact the Faculty office should you wish to provide a late submission.

As a footnote we can advise that the Faculty is funding Dame Carol Black to visit Melbourne to deliver the Ferguson-Glass oration at the World Congress on Internal Medicine on 22 March. Dame Carol was responsible for the review, ‘Working for a Healthier Tomorrow', which looked into the health of working age people in the UK.
