
The Australian Institute of Health & Safety and the OHS Body of Knowledge welcome Dr Marilyn Hubner as she works with Pam Pryor AO to move into the position of OHS Body of Knowledge Manager, effective as of 1 January 2023. Dr Hubner brings an extensive learning, development, and research background across the health and safety profession to this role. Dr Hubner specialises in providing relevant, engaging, and practical learning interventions that enable empowerment and professional capability development.
Pam Pryor AO has managed the OHS Body of Knowledge from its inception, and under her stewardship has created one of the most significant and freely available assets for the OHS profession. On her time working on the OHS Body of Knowledge Pam said “supporting the development of the OHS Body of Knowledge and working with the many OHS professionals and researchers that have been involved has been the most satisfying element of my career”. AIHS CEO Julia Whitford has today thanked Pam for her commitment saying “the work that Pam has put into creating this crucial resource for the profession, by the profession, will continue to be utilised and celebrated long after her departure as manager. We would like to thank Pam for having such a positive influence on the profession, and we welcome Dr Marilyn Hubner to now carry on her legacy.”
Dr Hubner brings a passion and motivation to continue the focus on the development and maintenance of chapters to her new role and aims to position the OHS Body of Knowledge as the leading global academic and professionally relevant publication for the profession.
On her appointment, Dr Hubner said “I am truly humbled and honoured to accept this appointment. I appreciate that I have huge shoes to fill following Pam Pryor AO. I look forward to working with Pam over the coming months and want to thank her for her relentless and exhaustive work in managing the OHS Body of Knowledge from the very beginning. It is a true testament to Pam’s dedication to the OHS profession. I aim to continue the vision for the OHS Body of Knowledge, focusing on chapter development and learning opportunities, and I look forward to developing new and maintaining relationships with contributors.”
