The safety of Australian workplaces.

The nation’s escalating skills crisis means that it will be impossible for organisations to attract, retain and develop people with the critical skills necessary for organisational performance if they don’t deliver on Occupational Health and Safety (OHS). Looking ahead, the challenge for organisations is to embrace safety as a leadership equity issue and integrate it into their corporate governance fabric.

In this survey, ‘The Safety of Australian Workplaces’, the Australian Institute of Management (AIM) VT and the Safety Institute of Australia Ltd (SIA) are seeking the views of management personnel and OHS specialists to ascertain the commitment of Australian organisations to OHS. A copy of our survey results will be made available to each respondent upon request. All responses will be kept confidential.

It would be appreciated if you could spend 10 minutes to answer our survey questions. All survey respondents can go in the draw to win a bottle of Penfolds Grange Hermitage (value $499). The survey closes on Tuesday 9 March 2010.
