The AIHS is proud to celebrate National Volunteer Week this week from 16-22 May.

National Volunteer Week is Australia’s largest annual celebration of volunteering and the 2022 theme is: Better Together.

Volunteering brings people together; it builds communities and creates a better society for everyone. National Volunteer Week is a chance for all of us to celebrate and recognise the vital work of volunteers and to say thank you.

The Institute always remembers that everything we do is built on many years of contributions by so many people in our community.

AIHS CEO David Clarke thanked those volunteers saying, "the AIHS has hundreds of individuals right across Australia who dedicate countless hours of their time to progressing not only the Institute, but the profession as a whole."

"We have a dedicated group of volunteers who span across state branches, committees such as standards, mentoring, membership drives, various networks that work to support women, rural communities and emerging leaders, as well as thought-leaders who share their research and ideas at events across Australia, and many more groups. We are able to do the breadth of work that we do because of you" said Mr Clarke.

The AIHS would like to thank every individual, group or organisation that has given their time to advance the Institute and the profession throughout our 75-year history.
