The SA Ambulance Service RRAS/MedSTAR facility at Adelaide Airport has state of the art capabilities in managing complex injury rescues and retrievals.
The walkthrough tour will provide participants with an understanding of infrastructure, personnel, logistics and communications, preparedness and response systems in the event of an injury. There will be an opportunity to discuss recent scenarios and lessons learned.
The multidisciplinary team is highly skilled and staff have participated in many national and international operations, including the Thai cave rescue.
They also have a great sense of humour, as evidenced by the video on flying MedSTAR.

Parking
Parking will be to the south end of the building. (see map) No parking permitted inside of the gate.
Entry is via the pedestrian gate – see .jpg attached. Use intercom then we will then release the gate on announcement, proceed then to the main entrance and again we ask that they press another intercom for entry into the building. Proceed upstairs to the main foyer for signing in. Guests will need to allow a little extra time to sign in. There is also a sign out process, this will be explained on their arrival.
