The Victorian Branch Committee of the Australian Institute of Health & Safety is pleased to announce that for the first time we are taking this annual event outside of Melbourne, to the vibrant regional city of Ballarat. Held on Tuesday 9 August at the Mercure Ballarat Convention & Exhibition Centre, this year’s event is titled 'Lifting Regional Victoria's Health and Safety.'
Join us for a day of networking, catching up with peers, and learning about risks and programs affecting regional Victorian employers and workers.
In 2022, regional workers are still more likely to experience greater rates of harm compared to metropolitan-based workers. The reasons for this are varied and complex. This year's AIHS Victorian Safety Symposium seeks to help delegates understand these factors in a welcoming and focused setting.
Delegates will enjoy informed speakers on:
Occupational violence and aggression
A case study in regional risk management excellence
Governance and leadership
And regulator and industry association programs focusing on supporting regional health and safety.
The AIHS Victorian Branch Committee is thrilled to welcome attendees back to a face-to-face setting, and are committed to working with the host the Mercure Ballarat to deliver a covid safe event in a professional environment.
