Join us on Tuesday 26 April 2022 for a webinar presentation titled: Safety of Machinery series – Machinery Guarding Basics Presented by Craig Imrie Senior Safety Consultant, Certified Machinery Safety Expert, and Adam Hallinan, Training manager at Pilz.
Machines can help improve production efficiency in the workplace. However, their moving parts, sharp edges, and hot surfaces are often the cause of serious workplace injuries such as crushed fingers or hands, amputations, burns, blindness or even death. Safeguards are essential to keep workers out of harm’s way, but what requirements apply when designing safeguards?
During this presentation, we will introduce the requirements of Australian legislation and standards for guarding and the standards that you can use in the design of safeguarding in order to select appropriate solutions for various hazards. The content is a summary of an important topic that is covered in more detail in the Pilz MachineSAFE Introduction course.
