The AIHS together with Art of Work are delighted to bring you Resilimap learning team facilitator course level 1 - Explorer
This online training program will run on Monday 27 July & Monday 3 August as a live interactive online workshop with a maximum of 30 participants.

What is a Resilimap®  Learning Team (RLT)?

Investigations undertaken by many organisations have become burdened with pre-conception and hindsight bias that constrains useful and insightful learning. In most people's experience, the underlying purpose of an investigation is to find error, and identify who is responsible for that error, which is often followed by corrective action that is retributive. Current investigations are insufficiently curious about work. The end result is findings that only produce more constraint, procedures and operational burden, but do not solve the problem at hand.

A Resilimap® Learning Team is a structured appreciative enquiry method, designed to engage curiosity to facilitate team-based enquiry using the Resilimap® analysis method.

Resilimap® can be applied to different work scenarios, with different outcomes in mind. In each scenario, Resilimap® seeks to uncover organisation conditions and constraints, demand and performance expectations, and the individual/team capability and control. The output assesses capacity, variability and performance capability and the inherent vulnerabilities. The result is insight and innovation, that generate engagement and operational resilience.

The Program

Art of Work has partnered with the Australian Institute of Health and Safety to enable safety professionals to gain safety differently human performance expertise, enabling them to transform investigation into learning events.

Art of Work has developed a program to transfer the knowledge base and expertise from our human performance specialists to course participants. Interested parties now have a unique opportunity to undertake the facilitator program and become a certified explorer by Art of Work and AIHS.

Art of Work’s RLT training program is divided into 3 levels:

  1. Resilimap® learning team facilitator course: level 1-  Explorer

  2. Resilimap® learning team facilitator course: level 2 - Guide - Certified

  3. Resilimap® learning team facilitator course: level 3 - Pathfinder - Certified

Level 1  is a Resilimap® learning team introductory training program. If this concept has piqued your interest, the explorer level is exactly what you need. The program familiarises participants with the Resilimap® learning team method, the tools and tactics it uses. It introduces participants to the Resilimap® method for interpreting work as done, and the associated conditions and constraints. This introductory session is designed for an organisation’s selected explorers to learn the philosophy and methodology so that it can be applied within their organisation. This course uses experiential learning techniques and provides the facilitators with the skills to set them up for success including:

  • shifting from investigation to learning

  • A detailed understanding of the process and method

  • immersion in the fabric for the use of learning from work as done to build operational resilience

Participants will have the opportunity to engage and immerse with the concepts. On completion, participants will be able to take the concepts and apply them or build on them by undergoing the next two levels.

Certification

Facilitators who successfully complete the respective stages of the training will receive certification from Art of Work and the Australian Institute of Health and Safety (AIHS). Certified participants can be listed on the Art of Work public domain list.

AIHS members will be awarded 20 CPD points.

Resilimap® Learning Team Participants will receive:

  • Presentation of themes derived from identified issues by participants

  • Video recording of the session

  • Presentation material
