North West Sydney and Central Coast Safety Group

The Australian Institute of Health & Safety (AIHS) invites you to join us for the next North West Sydney and Central Coast Safety Group meeting. 

Each month there will be a new topic to discuss, This months topic is: Key changes to NSW Demolition Licensing that have been incorporated into the WHS Legislation.

The presentation will focus on:

• New definitions.

• An expanded scope of matters to consider when making decisions about licences.

• New training requirements for workers

• Licence duration.

SPEAKER:  Jason Wall, State Inspector; Asbestos and Demolition Services; Chemicals, Explosives & Safety Auditing with SafeWork NSW.

Jason is a State Inspector within the Asbestos and Demolition Unit of SafeWork NSW. Jason has worked for SafeWork for 16 years working predominately in the Asbestos & Demolition unit. Jason has many years’ experiences guiding policy decisions.

Jason continues to work as an Inspector at the coal face attending asbestos & demolition sites and undertaking incident investigations. His previous background includes working for the NSW Police Force and more than 10 years’ experience in the Construction Industry where he commenced as a 1st year apprentice carpenter at a large textile mill.
