​Join us on Thursday 19th November for the HOPLAB Collaboration featuring Michelle Oberg (Safety Innovation Lead- Downer Utilities)

Setting People up for Success: Translating Ideas to Tangible Action 

Michelle will be showcasing how Downer are capturing real-time experiences and insights with their people, and discovering relevant ways to improve work. In the session, Human and Organisational Performance (HOP) and progressive methods that are being incorporated will be covered, including:
• HOP Principles & Learning Teams
• Appreciative Inquiry- Journey Mapping
• Capturing complexity with triangulation methods

Participants will discover how Downer are embedding these concepts and methods from theory to practice, including the feedback being received so far. Learnings along the way will be shared, and there will be opportunity for Q&A.

As the Downer Utilities Safety Innovation Lead, Michelle is proactively and collaboratively shifting the business approach to safety from pure traditional methods to include safety theories, ideas and applied practices such as Safety II and HOP. Since joining, Michelle has been instrumental in guiding the safety direction and strategy of Downer Utilities with key tenets being that they embrace their people as the solution and question long-held assumptions.
