The global health crisis that the business community currently faces, is creating unprecedented commercial and operational uncertainty.  This, in turn, will have a significant impact on the wellbeing of the workforce within many organisations, both now and in the future. Sole reliance on traditional risk management responses will likely result in unintended decision making bias with critical and multi-faceted consequences, often revealed only in hindsight.

In line with our principle of “People are the solution to harness”, we are conducting an interactive expert forum, where we will bring together expertise and learnings from previous public health challenges.

The panel will consist of:

  • Dr Sue Ieraci - Emergency Physician - 30 Years experience in Emergency Medicine
  • Marc McLaren - 30 years experience in organisational psychology and risk
  • Kelvin Genn - Former Director Clinical Quality NSW Health - 35 years experience in occupational hazard management, 12 years military experience, trained in chemical and biological warfare operational risk management
  • Sophia Newton - Biomedical Science - Medical Microbiology and Immunology, Molecular basis of disease.

The panel draws on a unique combination of high-level skills and experience that includes:

  • Chemical and biological security
  • Warfare risk management
  • Infectious disease in a clinical setting
  • Organisational psychology, wellbeing and psychological safety
  • Pathology
  • Extensive operational workplace safety expertise

Art of Work will host the online forum, share insights, and seek to engage with the experiences and learnings of participating organisations.
