Networking Event

What lengths would you go to ensure that your employees were safe, healthy and contributing to a high performance working environment? What more could you be doing for team members or employees to ensure that they are working in an environment which will allow them to excel and maximise their productivity?

Join us for dinner on Friday 30 November 2018, for the Annual Awards Dinner & End of Year Celebration of the South Australian branch and to hear Adelaide Football Club’s General Manager of People, Performance & Culture, Chris Wood answers these questions.

During this session, Chris will discuss the lengths his organisation goes to, in order to create and maintain a healthy, safe and high performing environment for the players and staff of the club.

Chris will explore the complexities of working with high performing athletes and staff at an elite level. He will also provide insights on:

  • The AFL and Adelaide Football Club’s considerations for Health, Wellbeing and Safety within an elite sporting organisation. Which includes the welfare and well-being of players and their families,
  • The assistance provided to players for transitioning to life after football,
  • The role of the AFL Player association,
  • Injury management within the workplace and;
  • How the Adelaide Football Club manages its brand and asset protection.

Throughout this presentation, we invite you to consider whether the strategic thinking and approach of the Adelaide Football Club towards the health, safety and well-being of its players and families can be translated to the average working environment across other industries?
