The AIHS National Health and Safety Conference will be held from 18-19 May 2021 at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre.
As part of the #SAFETYSCAPE Convention, the conference will bring together stakeholders across the health and safety profession to discuss some of the challenges currently faced by WHS professionals and practitioners and explore the impacts these have on the OHS profession, as well as new ideas, innovation, research and leadership.
The convention is a two day conference program bookended by a series of partnered and co-presented events which include, Pre-conference workshops, Dr Eric Wigglesworth Memorial Lecture, Australian Workplace Health & Safety Awards Gala Dinner and Industry Breakfast.
Call for Speakers
On behalf of the Australian Institute of Health & Safety, we are pleased announce a call for Speaker Expressions of Interest to present at the 2021 AIHS National Health & Safety Conference.
The 2021 conference theme will be: A New Perspective – Rising to the Challenge!
We invite applicants to submit: Poster presentations, keynote presentations, masterclasses, panel discussions or 10 minute short talks which explore innovative ideas, evidence-based research or workplace health & safety case studies.

All submissions must address how the concept or research can be translated from theory into the real-life work of Practitioners and Professionals at all levels of the company.
Presentations which strongly focus on practical takeaways for practitioners and Professionals will be highly regarded.

Expressions of Interest Guidelines to Present
Acceptance of proposed presentations will be based on the content of the online submission, which will be reviewed by the Program Committee for the 2021 AIHS National Health & Safety Conference.
Once accepted the presenter will be asked to provide a written paper and/or presentation slides to events@aihs.org.au (approximately 3 months prior to the event).
The author of the paper must be present in person to deliver the presentation.
Presentation Formats: We are calling for a series of submissions which can be presented in one of the following ways:
Please note: Most presentations will be allocated within a 30-minute session inclusive of questions. Selected submissions may be invited to be featured presentations, delivered over 45-minute session.
NOTE: Presentations considered to be of a marketing nature or promoting/advertising specific products, services or companies will not be accepted.
